Thank you for clearing that up in such a concise manner. I allow no absolutes or synthetics in my company's skin care products and unfortunately cannot use jasmine as it contains dangerous solvents such as hexane. Jasmine is such an exquisite scent I would love to incorporate it into some products if it could be infused successfully without chemicals and I see from your article that it may be a possibility.

Carnation in het Nederlands is Anjer. Het kent vele soorten, waarvan de kleine tuinanjer (Dianthus caryophyllus), wat je op beide foto's ziet. Het is vaak geuriger, dan de mooiere decoratieve soorten zonder geur. De tuinanjer kent blijkbaar meerdere varieteiten, die duidelijke verschillen vertonen - mijn botanische kennis is niet voldoende om hier uitgebreid op in te gaan. Ik heb de mijne bij Intratuin aangeschaft in het voorjaar.

hallo max,
wat is de nederlandse naam voor de carnation? wikipedia vertaald het als tuinanjer, maar het plaatje erbij is duidelijk iets anders dan wat jij op het balkon hebt staan.
ik wil ook wat van deze planten aanschaffen, om de geur ervan te onderzoeken, maar wil van tevoren precies weten welke soort het beste ruikt.

Hey!! Checking in to congratulate you on being one of the 50 earlybirds in the Vamp-y contest at Grain de Musc!! Tuberose is a deep-seated fave - remember original Chloe?? SIGH...(I not only have every bottle size & strength I could grab, but ditto for the peach satin items) I think if you did a big tuberose/hyacinth /iris scent, you`d be very rich, very fast, for MANY souls miss this style of scent! peace!!

poor feathered friends! Our fledge-ling robins are getting flying lessons - they are the sweetest! I see them at dawn when mama feeds them - always HUNGRY! I know what you mean as far a a scented NEED - sometimes mine are the opposite of the season - white florals in Winter, and Orientals in Summer - go figure! :-)
